Dr Uma Balakrishnan
Dr Uma Balakrishnan is a Cataract and refractive surgeon practising in Pune. She is an expert eye surgeon with an experience of over 12 years in this field.
She completed her MBBS from Jawaharlal Nehru medical College, Belgaum, after which she obtained her post graduation, MS Ophthalmology from government medical College, Mysore.
She is a fellow of the International Council of Opthalmology London . She is also a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh
Dr Uma has an experience of performing more than 12,000 cataract surgeries. She specialises in implantation of advanced and premium intraocular lenses. She is an expert in handling complicated cases. She is also a refractive surgeon especially dealing in implantation of phakic IOLs. Her field of practice also includes diagnosing and managing glaucoma patients.
