Dr. Amar Kulkarni

Dr Amar Kulkarni is a well experienced cataract and refractive surgeon practising in Pune. He has an experience of over 15 years in this field.

After completing his MBBS from the prestigious government medical College, Aurangabad, he obtained his post graduation in Ophthalmology from Mysore medical College. He also completed his DNB Ophthalmology from MM Joshi eye Institute, Hubli. He also acquired a fellowship in Medical retina from Shankar Netralaya, Coimbatore.

Dr Amar is a fellow of the international council of Opthalmology , London and also a fellow of the most prestigious Royal College of Surgeons , Glasgow ( Scotland) .

He is a member of Royal of surgeons Edinburgh .

He is an expert phaco surgeon (micro incision cataract surgery )with an experience of operating more than 10000 patients. He is also one of the fastest surgeons who completes cataract surgery within 7 to 8 minutes. He specialises in implantation of various advanced and premium intraocular lenses. He is also an expert in managing complicated cases. He specialises in treating patients with diabetic retinopathy using lasers and vitreal injections.
